photo boutique Romain Rea

The Romain Réa adventure, Rue du Bac, in the Left Bank Carré , where the heart of the Paris antique dealers beats, goes back to 1999. His boutique was small, but was to become one of the top French addresses for collectable watches. Romain Réa is also a dealer in new watches (Bell & Ross, Porsche Design amongst others), capable of seducing collectors of vintage models. In 2007, he set up at 26 rue du Bac, a few yards away from his first boutique, where he chose to present his best pieces in a more contemporary environment. The décor is stunning, the choice and use of materials, at odds with the codes of the watch making tradition, usually reminiscent of the atmosphere of a Swiss chalet. Passionate about design himself, Romain Réa has preferred the steel, slate, glass, and stitched leather of today’s creators. Not forgetting high-tech, with the unique showcases and their biometric opening mechanism. Non conformist lines and shapes that create an original atmosphere for the presentation of some of the most beautiful watches on the Parisian scene. For comfort, a bar cum-salon to welcome clients who can consult the watch making press, and other reference works, in a surprising decor of old watch making advertisements and marine chronometers. Romain Réa is also a team: Jean-François and Jérôme, enthusiasts who can dialogue with enthusiasts, and two watchmakers, one of whom is a master watch master, trained at the Rolex school and formerly employed by the Antiquorum workshop.
