Laurent Ferrier was born on December 19, 1946 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland in the same city as the watchmaker Abraham-Louis Breguet. It is below the family apartment in a watchmaking workshop that Laurent Ferrier spends his entire childhood.
He studied at the watchmaking school of Geneva and graduated in 1968. He was then hired by Patek Philippe at the age of 22, then he left Patek Philippe to devote himself to motor racing, his second passion. At the age of 28, he returned to the Patek Philippe house, which created a technical dressing room for him. Ferrier later became head of the creative department.
At three years of retirement, the man decided to found his own brand in 2009 at the age of 63 years. His intention is to create classic and timeless watches assembled by hand with quality materials.
The proposed model is the Gallet Square Boreal, a superb watch of high quality, manufactured with a unique know-how. It is a steel cushion case with sapphire back 41 x 41 mm in size. A rare and beautiful black dial with timer in super green luminova. Stylized hands and second hand 6h.
Mechanical movement with manual winding and natural escapement, or escapement with double impulse to the pendulum, which consists in giving each alternation an impulse to the pendulum. An invention imagined by Breguet brought up to date by Laurent Ferrier.
This genius of watchmaking has waited a whole career to finally offer us his own incredible models of qualities.
A unique and remarkable watch.
