At 19, Hans Wildorf left his hometown of Kulmbach in Bavaria for La-Chaux-de-Fonds, a metropolis of Swiss watchmaking where he is responsible for English correspondence and office work for a flourishing watch exporter.

In 1903, the cosmopolitan and enterprising Bavarian set out once again to work in London with a reputed watch importer.

But he does not keep up and founds his own firm Rolex in 1905.

As a result, it manufactures high quality watches in all fields of activity.

The proposed model is an Oyster reference date 6694, a unique model; it’s the only one in the Oyster family to be hand-wound mechanical.

It is a round case steel 34mm diameter with silver dial with the coat of arms of Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates located on an Arabian Gulf island.
