ROLEX DAYTONA ref. 116500LN FULL SET

What was my happiness to see reappear a black tachymetric bezel on the Daytona at Rolex. A detail that changes the whole aesthetics of the model.

The Daytona ref 116500 LN, is difficult to find in this configuration, I hear new, never worn with its original stickers.

Paul Newman wears a Daytona Cosmograph  in the 60s. It is mechanical manual Valjoux 72 until 86 then becomes automatic with the caliber Zenith el primero finally Rolex manufactures its movement since then.

The proposed 116500 is made of 904 L steel, mainly used in aerospace and chemical industries. Maximum corrosion resistance is a superalloy.

Its case measures 40 mn in diameter, the bezel is black in ceramic. Its dial is white with the central seconds hand which allows to measure a precise time to the 1 / 8th of seconds; the counters total hours and minutes.
