TUDOR SUBMARINER REF. 76100
Fine stainless steel self-winding diver’s wristwatch with black dial and date.
This Tudor Prince Oyster Date Submariner from the mid-1980s is the reference 76100. It is a model of transition between ref. 9411/0 from 1979/80 and ref. 79090 from the late 1980s. The whole charm of this watch lies in the purity of its matt grey anthracite colours with microporous painted white indexes, which is typical of that era.
The case is in good condition with a beautiful lugs thickness. The bezel and its insert are original with nice serifs, as well as the date disc. The self-winding movement is a caliber ETA 2824-2. The case back shows the engraved inscriptions: “Original Oyster Case by Rolex Geneva”. The reference between the lugs at 12 has been partially erased by an old bracelet, but the serial numbers are perfectly readable at 6, and include a 6-digit number in 120 000 … typical. This is due to the resumption of Tudor’s zero numbering in 1984.
