OMEGA RAILMASTER TRILOGY 1957 FULL SET
Due to its seniority, longevity, visibility (sports timekeeping, space conquest), Omega is one of the leading companies in the Swiss watch industry.
In 1848, Louis Brandt opened a settling desk in La Chaux-de-Fonds in the canton of Neuchâtel. His watches bore the brand name “Louis Brandt”.
In 1879, the two sons of the founder, Louis-Paul and César Brandt, decided to start industrial production. They settled permanently in Biel in the canton of Bern.
In January 1880, they launched their first calibre manufactured by mechanical means. Reliable and inexpensive, the product was a dazzling success.
In 1894, the company launches the Omega 19-line calibre, which will give its name to the company. The name was registered on March 10, 1894.
In 1957 Omega introduced three models which became iconic: the Speedmaster, the Seamaster and the Railmaster, three models which were reissued identically, modernized and sold in limited editions.
The model presented is a reissue of the Railmaster. First, watchmade for the railway workers and those working close magnetic fields, the watch is able to withstand 1000 gauss.
It’s a 38mm diameter round stainless steel case. Black dial with luminescent painted indexes with arabic numerals 3,6,9,12. Broad Arrow hands and central second hand. Self-winding mechanical movement.
This model is from 2017 and sold with its original box and papers.
