OMEGA SPEEDMASTER 1957 TRILOGY LIMITED EDITION FULL SET
Fine and rare stainless steel limited edition manual-winding chronograph wristwatch with black dial and 3 registers. Box and papers.
President John F Kennedy’s challenge to send astronauts to the moon was particularly bold at the time.
Indeed, when he gave a speech on space exploration in Texas in 1962, only one American had already gone into space for a duration of 15 mn and 28 s.
But history proved him right. His goal was finally achieved and the Omega Speedmaster was there for these historic first steps on the moon.
Equipped with a black dial and a tachymetric scale on the bezel, this 42 mm diameter chronograph was designed to stand out from the crowd.
The indexes, the hour and minute hands are coated with tritium, the plexiglas glass protects the sublimated dial with a 30-minute register at 3, a 12-hour register at 6 and a small seconds hand at 9.
Since 1965, the Speedmaster is officially part of the astronauts’ official equipment.
The presented model here is a superb reissue of the original model from 1957. It takes again the aesthetic codes which made it a masterpiece.
It is a stainless steel round case of 42 mm diameter, stainless steel bezel with tachymetric scale. Black dial with luminescent painted stick indexes and 3 registers. Broad Arrow hands. Manual-winding mechanical movement, calibre 1861.
This chronograph is undoubtedly the most emblematic of Omega’s rich history, proving the creative power of the house Omega.
This magnificent timepiece could join your collection of iconic chronographs.
This limited edition model is proposed with its original box and papers.
