Inside the inner circle of historic fine watchmaking brands, Patek Philippe was founded in 1839 and has been exclusively owned since 1932 by the Stern family.

From the very beginning, Patek Philippe has been distinguished by its great ability to innovate and its mastery of the craftsmanship involved in watch development.

Patek Philippe quickly became popular with an international and wealthy clientele, who ordered personalized pieces. In 1934, the American industrialist Henry Graves received his pocket watch with 24 complications, a record at the time.

The model presented here is a Patek Philippe with an annual calendar, reference 5205G. The annual calendar indicates the days of the month, automatically taking into account months of 30 or 31 days, unlike the perpetual calendar (much more expensive) the annual calendar does not take into account the month of February at 28 days or leap years.

It is a 18k white solid gold round case with a sapphire case back. Magnificent two-tone grey and black dial with day, month and date display by windows, moon phase and 24-hour indicator at 6. Self-winding mechanical movement.

This is an exceptional piece from one of the greatest watchmaking houses in Geneva. A beautiful, useful and practical complication and, as always, with an exceptional and unequalled level of workmanship.
