PIAGET ALTIPLANO SQUARE FULL SET
Fine 18k pink solid gold square manual-winding wristwatch with original box and papers.
With the Altiplano model, the Swiss watch and jewelry maker continues to explore ultra-flat lines. An exhibition, presented at the boutique on rue de la Paix in Paris, retraces the evolution of this famous story. Extra-flat is part of Piaget’s DNA. The company was founded in 1874, at La Côte-aux-Fées in Switzerland and then bought by the Richemont group in 1988. At the end of the 1950’s, Piaget launched the Calibre P9, a hand-wound movement barely 2 mm thick, as recalled Yves Piaget, Chairman of Piaget SA, who had a hand in this innovation. It was a real technological feat at the time. Because until then, very small watches were difficult to read and difficult to dress. Even today, innovation and records continue to be set.
The model presented here is a Piaget Altiplano Square from 2007. It is a square case in pink solid gold with a size of 34 x 34 mm. Silver dial with stick indexes. Hand-wound mechanical movement.
