Created as a tribute to pilots and their bravery, the Rolex Air King model remains a simple but sturdy three-hand watch. Its genesis can be traced back to the mid-1930s before World War II, when Royal Air Force pilots were already wearing Oyster Bubbleback wristwatches, which were slightly wider than standard English models and much more reliable.

When Rolex heard about this information, the brand embarked on the design of a new range of wristwatches. The Air Lion, Air Giant and Air King ref 4925 models were born in 1945, bringing together the features of all the Air models in a single model the Air King.

This legendary watch has survived the decades with elegance in a unique style that is sober and timeless.

It is a round stainless steel case of 34 mm diameter, domed bezel with screwed crown and case back. Beautiful blue dial with applied stick indexes and called explorer because of the mythical 3,6,9 figures on it. Straight hands and central second hand. Self-winding mechanical movement.

This model from 2003, reference 14000, keeps the DNA of the original model.

It is sold with its original box and papers.
