ROLEX SUBMARINER REF. 5513 MAXI DIAL

In 1962, the reference 5513 appears, the icon of the seas. Professional divers unanimously adopt this watch, it meets the growing demand successfully.
The model presented here dates from 1978. It has a stainless steel round case of 40 mm diameter and screwed crown and case back, with a beautiful bidirectional insert with a grey patina and a 60-minute graduated bezel to calculate decompression times. A black dial with tritium luminescent hour-markers and Mercedes hands with a plexiglas glass, which gives it a special aesthetic as it is curved. It also has a stainless steel Oyster bracelet.
The mechanical movement is self-winding, caliber 1520.
The reference 5513 is a myth, an elegant diver’s watch with perfect dimensions. It embodies sportsmanship with panache. The submariner is one of the most collected watches, it is often copied but never equalled.
