- Technical datas
Of course, everyone knows the Rolex Submariner. This legendary diver’s watch, an iconic and timeless design. Since the beginning of the 1960’s, Rolex has been manufacturing other Submariner models under the Tudor brand: identical in almost all points except for the movement and the logo on the dial. By using more common movements that were less expensive to maintain and repair, while retaining the qualities of robustness and water resistance of the Rolex, Tudor quickly became the choice of many armed forces. Including the French Navy, which will be at the origin of the famous declinations with snowflake hands and rectangular indexes. Tudor has an image and legitimacy in its own right, it is not the sub-brand of Rolex but a founding pillar of the brand with the crown.
The model presented here is a Tudor Submariner reference 9411/0 from 1981, patinated as we like and in a very nice condition. It is a round stainless steel case of 40 mm diameter with blue bidirectional bezel 60 mn graduated. Splendid blue snowflake dial. Date window at 3 with cyclops magnifying glass. Self-winding mechanical movement.
This legend of the seas has accompanied divers in their most perilous missions for a while.
A timepiece that will be able to follow you in all your nautical activities.
It is sold with original box and paper, a rare full set not to be missed.
