Like the stars in our sky, the constellations encourage our desire for discovery. We talk about watches that make sense when we want to have a real timepiece.

This sophisticated watch, like many Omega timepieces, has undergone a great evolution.

The word constellation appears on the dials in 1952, overhanging a small star and giving the timepiece its full meaning. The other discreet but so elegant detail is the small medallion engraved on the case back, representing the Geneva observatory, surrounded by eight stars which probably represent the great prizes won by Omega in the field of chronometry.

The model presented here is a magnificent Omega Constellation chronometer from 1959. It is a 18k pink solid gold round case with stylized lugs. It has a superb and rare silver “pie pan” dial with cut-off sides. Dauphine hands and central second hand. Self-winding mechanical movement, calibre 551, chronometer certified, guarantee of great precision.

This very beautiful model symbolizes Omega’s outstanding expertise, a charismatic watch adored by collectors and lovers of remarkably iconic timepieces.
