In 1948, the “Seamaster” saga began, the model with waterproofing feature.

From classic watches to diving watches, in the 1960s it was offered in the form of a chronograph.

But it was in the 1970s that Omega took a particular interest in a well-known sport, football. After mastering telemeters for the military, tachymeters for pilots and pulse scales for doctors, Omega dedicates an instrument to football, measuring the 45 minutes of half-time.

The “Soccer” which is proposed to you has a particularity, it has an interior bezel activated by a crown at 10, what is uncommon at the time.

The stainless steel tonneau-shaped case measures 42 mm in diameter, amateur advice of big sizes.

A range of colours completes the dial from black to grey through orange, it has three registers, a permanent second hand at 9, an hour totalizer at 6 and a specific counter with two zones at 3, the one on the right is in red for the last 30 minutes of the match and a bold inscription for the last 5 minutes.

The movement is the calibre 861, the one that equips the speedmaster in 1969 for the lunar expedition. It is a manual-winding mechanical movement, extremely reliable and robust,

So if you are a referee, a supporter of a football team, a simple sports lover or like me a lover of technical and specific watches, don’t wait !!!

Finally this watch should appeal to the greatest number of people, Omega signs here an instrument that measures time in an original and talented way.
