The first GMT-Master was born in 1954 with the reference 6542.

From the first versions, the aesthetic codes are already established, bicolour bezel, Mercedes hour hands, date window at 3, Oyster case, steel bracelet etc…

The very first versions produced had a bakelite bezel, but they were replaced after 2 years because they were too fragile.

The proposed model is superb and very rare, it is a GMT-Master model, reference 1675 No Crown Guards (without crown protection).

A 40 mm diameter round case in 18k yellow solid gold. A brown 24-hour graduated rotating bezel. A beautiful brown dial with applied luminescent indexes. Original solid gold riveted Oyster strap. The movement is mechanical with automatic winding.

Here is the first pilot’s watch which, thanks to its attributes, allows them to read a second time zone.

The reference that will introduce the GMT-Master to the rank of iconic watch is most certainly the 1675.

This magnificent Full Gold model is precious, one of the first gold sports watches.

Rolex, with this model, propels itself to the rank of a must-have manufacture.
