ROLEX SEA-DWELLER REF. 1665 PATENT PENDING ALBINOS
Very rare and fine stainless steel self-winding diver’s wristwatch with faded black dial
The Sea-Dweller is the technological advance of the Submariner. It is slightly thicker and has a helium escape valve. In the 1960’s, professional divers operated from diving bells. The helium valve allows helium atoms to escape during decompression, thus preventing implosion.
The Sea-Dweller is less known and less produced than the Submariner, which makes it a naturally sought-after watch today.
Design in the pure DNA of Rolex, a watch for professional divers who use it safely up to 610 m (2000 ft).
The model presented here is particular, all the writings seem white (Albinos).
A rare model in this configuration.
It is a stainless steel round case of 40 mm diameter. Faded black dial with luminescent painted indexes.
Bidirectional rotating bezel, 60-mn graduated to calculate dive or decompression times. Luminescent Mercedes hands. Self-winding mechanical movement, chronometer certified.
A rare and sought-after legend, this precise model is almost impossible to find. A mythical watch that equips the most skilled divers.
The Sea-Dweller charms us with its masculine aesthetics, a true adventurer’s watch.
