The most fascinating feature of watches is their ability to pass from generation to generation. They are a witness to the achievements, family generations and individuals. Some models stand out from the crowd, and have been elevated to iconic status, like the superb Rolex Submariner.

It is certainly the most popular luxury watch, a member of the sports watches family, and has been a huge success since its launch in the 1950s.

Over the past 60 years, the watch has constantly asserted its status as a truly valuable diver’s watch.

In 1962 appeared the reference 5513, an evolution of the original 1954 model, and was produced until 1989. The size of the case increased from 36 to 40 mm in diameter and crown guards were added.

The model presented here is a magnificent 5513 from 1973. Black dial with luminescent round indexes. Mercedes hands and central second hand. 60-minute graduated faded black bezel. Self-winding mechanical movement. This famous iconic model is a major part of the scuba diving’s history.

This precise model is in superb condition, this is a first hand.

It is proposed with its original box and papers, from Mappin & Webb.
