Hans Wilsdorf’s ambition is to be present in all fields of activity where records are set.

Diving was certainly one of the areas where the man with the steely character had the greatest ambitions.

By 1920, he had already turned his attention to water-resistance, and came up with a revolutionary watch with a patented screw-down winding crown and screw-down caseback that ensured true water-resistance.

The Manufacture’s historic Submariner model appeared in 1953. It was the first watch to be water-resistant to 100m, with a bi-directional bezel graduated in 60-minute increments for calculating diving and decompression times.

The model on offer is the modern evolution of the Submariner, the 2017 reference 116610LV.

This historic watch, adored by divers since 1953, has nothing left to prove. It remains the star of the catalog and is the most mythical and emblematic diver’s watch in the history of diving.
