Ulysse Nardin has been a watchmaker since 1846, founded in Le Locle in Switzerland.
It stands out on the market with its pocket chronometers. Ulysse Nardin supplies the Russian and Japanese Imperial Navy. The first part of the 20th century is marked by a collection of awards and innovation.
But it is the 1940s that saw the birth of models of wristwatches very characteristic, with complications horlogères pushes.
A chronograph has 3 counters, combined with a full calendar, by a window for the day and the month, and a red arrow pointer for the date printed in blue.
The round case measures 35 mn in diameter, it is laminated therefore covered with a layer of gold. The pushers are rectangular in shape. The magnificent dial is salmon colored and Dauphine hands.
Manual winding caliber 72C.
The watchmaking style 40 is very remarkable, an innovative period in all areas, both aesthetic and technical. A great name in Swiss watchmaking with undeniable know-how.
