VACHERON CONSTANTIN ART DECO LACQUERED DIAL
It was in 1755 that Jean-Marc Vacheron started his business. It was then a flourishing factory until the Revolution, a period when it lost a very large part of its customers. The descent of Jean-Marc Vacheron will then work hard to get it back on track, and it is in the person of Francis Constantine that she will find his salvation. Then is born the factory “Vacheron-Constantin”, which then offers high quality watches, especially luxury.
From the simple watch to the complicated watch, Vacheron-Constantin then displays an extraordinary savoir-faire.
The proposed model is a superb watch from the 1930s, in Art Deco style and period, an artistic movement born in the aftermath of the First World War and spanning some twenty years.
The case here is a round case in 18K yellow gold. The dial is a lacquered dial with painted indexes having taken a pretty caramel patina, marrying perfectly with the leaf needles. The movement itself is a manual winding movement.
This is an exceptional collectible vintage watch in priority.
