In 1848, Louis Brandt, 23 years old, opened a small workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds in the canton of Neuchâtel. His watches bear the name of « Louis Brandt ».
In 1894, his watchmakers launched the Omega 19-line calibre which gave the company its name, registered on March 10th 1894. This product was both, a technical and business success. Twenty years later, in 1914, it still accounts for one third of Omega’s production.
The company employs almost 800 people and produces 100,000 watches a year. It is already regarded as the largest watch manufacturer in Switzerland.
The model presented here is a beautiful and original wristwatch circa 1970, the Dynamic.
It is a stainless steel oval case measuring 41×37 mm.
