Due to its seniority, longevity, visibility (sports timekeeping, space conquest), Omega is one of the leading companies in the Swiss watch industry.

In 1848, Louis Brandt opened a settling desk in La Chaux-de-Fonds in the canton of Neuchâtel. His watches bore the brand name “Louis Brandt”.

In 1879, the two sons of the founder, Louis-Paul and César Brandt, decided to start industrial production. They settled permanently in Biel in the canton of Bern.

In January 1880, they launched their first calibre manufactured by mechanical means. Reliable and inexpensive, the product was a dazzling success.

In 1894, the company launches the Omega 19-line calibre, which will give its name to the company. The name was registered on March 10, 1894.

In 1932, the brand develops a model which will be the first watch designed for divers, it is the beginning of professional diving watches.

In 1957, Omega introduced three models which became iconic: the Speedmaster, the Seamaster and the Railmaster, three models which were reissued identically, modernized and sold in limited editions.

To meet the needs of divers and professionals working underwater, the first Omega Seamaster 300 watch was created in 1957 and quickly became the benchmark for diving watches.

The model presented is a perfect reissue of the 1957 model and is part of the trilogy released the same year with the Speedmaster and the Railmaster.

It is a round stainless steel case of 39mm diameter with a 60mn rotating graduated bezel. Black dial with painted indexes and arabic numerals 3,6,9,12. Broad Arrow hands specific to the 3 models. Self-winding mechanical movement.

This legendary watch with perfect aesthetics is one of the models that have marked history, sacred by Commander Cousteau during his historic dives.

This marvellous watch from 2017 is sold with its original box and papers.
