In 1957, Omega introduced its Speedmaster chronograph, then in 1965 it was selected by NASA to accompany American astronauts on the Apollo missions.
The Speedmaster is the only one to answer positively to all the tests planned for the space adventures.
The chronograph evolves with time but globally remains the same until today.
Omega reissues the 1957 model, with the two attributes which distinguish it from the others: the stainless steel bezel with tachymetric scale and the Broad Arrow hands.
Of course, the brand add elements which radically modernize it: a sapphire crystal, a co-axial automatic movement and a date window at 6.
It is a stainless steel round case of 41.5 mm diameter, slightly larger than the one from the time.
A black dial with two registers and luminescent painted stick indexes.
The Omega stainless steel bracelet is inspired by the one of the time.
The movement is a self-winding co-axial mechanical one and chronometer certified.
This is a great success in terms of re-edition, remaining very close to the original model. It has modern features that ensure daily comfort.
A timeless icon, which marks the history of Aerospace and space conquest.
It is proposed with its original box and papers.
