Everyone has heard of the Rolex Daytona and the reason is simple: this chronograph is a real success. It has an extraordinary history linked to exceptional personalities. The first Rolex chronographs date back to the 1930’s. The reference 4113 in particular, they are very rare: it is a type of bi-compax chronograph. But the first watch that will bring the spirit of the Daytona will undoubtedly be the reference 6234: it proposes a third counter at 6, totaling the hours of the chronograph. Then, it is in 1963 that the Holy Grail was born, the Daytona so much appreciated by pilots and enthusiasts. The Daytona is closely linked to motorsport and takes its name from the famous circuit Daytona International Speedway along the eastern coast of Florida.

It is a round stainless steel case of 37.5 mm diameter, with screwed crown, pushers and case back. Big red black dial with large Daytona red writing and floating, that means that it is detached from the counter at 6. Stainless steel bezel with tachymeter scale. Manual winding mechanical movement, caliber 727.

This chronograph is undoubtedly the most historic and emblematic of all the history of vintage watchmaking.
